once the bread has risen can I delay baking until the next day

Thank you for your question about making dough the day before Easter. Here are links to two recipe that are made that way. One is a yeast roll, and one a quick bread coffee cake.


If you are making a regular loaf bread, you can also make the dough ahead and cover and refrigerate it after the first rising and kneading back down. Be sure your container is big enough for the rising that will occur in the refrigerator. Be sure on baking day that you allow enough time for the dough to come to room temperature before baking is so that the yeast will be active.
