Hello! Thank you for your question. I am attaching a link to a recipe that uses fondant, and maybe it will provide some help for you. Cakes are quite tender, and the fondant is a firmer coating than frosting, so you need to use a really sharp knife to cut through the fondant, and a gentle touch.
