Yes, you'd want to partially cook them first so that they will finish cooking when in the casserole...but you don't want to cook them completely first, so that they end up overcooked when the casserole is finished baking. Shorten the cooking time about 2 minutes before they are crisp-tender. Happy Thanksgiving!
