Why do cakes fall after baking?

That's a great question. Cakes can fall or sink in the middle because of too much leavening or too much liquid. Even though the cake might not look pretty, it will still taste delicious! Try cutting the fallen cake into cubes and layering it with pudding and whipped topping or whipping cream and fruit for an easy trifle, or just serve the cake cubes with ice cream and your favorite topping. Nobody will know the difference and will enjoy a sweet treat!
