The Milk chocolate Cake recipe on page 133 in Betty Crocker Picture Cookbook, states 1 1/3 cups evaporated milk diluted by half. What does that mean?

The recipe for Milk Chocolate Cake asks for you to use 1 1/3 cups evaporated milk using half water (2/3 cup) and half evaporated milk (2/3 cup). The style for writting recipes has changed a lot in the past 50 years. Hopefully the newer recipes are written more clearly!

Thanks for the question.
