I have searched through our recipe collection and do not see any recipes which match your criteria. Just wondering since you mentioned rice cereal if it may have been a recipe from Kellogg's for Rice Krispies.

Here are a couple of no bake cookie recipes which we do have and maybe you will like one of these.

Golden Cereal-Nut Clusters
1/2 pound vanilla-flavored candy coating
3 cups Golden Grahams® cereal
1/2 cup salted peanuts
1/2 cup miniature marshmallows
1. Chop candy coating into small pieces; place in heavy 10-inch skillet. Cover and heat over low heat about 5 minutes or until coating is soft; remove from heat. Stir until smooth and creamy. Stir in cereal until thoroughly coated. Stir in peanuts and marshmallows. Drop mixture by rounded tablespoonfuls onto waxed paper, or spread mixture evenly on waxed paper or aluminum foil. Let stand 1 to 2 hours or until completely set.

Crisp Peanut Butter Chews

Prep Time: 25 Minutes
Start to Finish: 55 Minutes
1 1/2 cups light corn syrup
1 cup creamy peanut butter
1 pouch (1 lb 1.5 oz) Betty Crocker® peanut butter cookie mix
7 cups crisp rice cereal
1 cup salted peanuts
1. Line 2 large cookie sheets with waxed paper or foil. In 5-quart heavy Dutch oven, heat corn syrup to boiling over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Stir in peanut butter until melted. Stir in cookie mix until well blended. Cook 2 minutes, stirring constantly. (Candy thermometer should read 160°F.)
2. Immediately remove from heat. With wooden spoon or rubber spatula, gently fold in cereal and peanuts until well coated.
3. Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto cookie sheets. Flatten each cookie slightly with fingertips. Cool completely, about 30 minutes. Store covered at room temperature.
