I found an old recipe for Chicken Rice Casserole. Mine is not paperback so the page was not the same. I hope this is what you are looking for.
Chicken Rice Casserole
1/4 cup chicken fat or butter
1/3 cup Gold Medal Flour
1/2 teaspoons salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1 cup chicken broth
1 1/2 cups milk
1 1/2 cups cooked white or wild rice
2 cups cut up cooked chicken
1 can (3 oz) sliced mushrooms, drained
1/2 cup chopped green pepper
2 tablespoons chopped pimento
1/4 cup slivered almonds
Heat oven to 350 degreees. Melt chicken fat in large saucepan over low heat. Blend in flour, salt and pepper. Cook over low heat, stirring until mixture is smooth and bubbly. Remove from heat. Stir in broth and milk. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Boil and stir 1 minute. Stir in remaining ingredients.
Pour into ungreased baking dish, 10x6x1 1/2-inches, or 1 1/2-quart casserole. Bake uncovered 40 to 45 minutes.
