I want to make frozen yogurt ice cream, but I don't have an ice cream maker. Can I freeze it another way?

Thank you for your question about frozen yogurt. While you can make granitas and sorbets without an ice cream maker, it isn't a good idea to try to make frozen yogurt or ice cream, because the end result would be grainy and icy without the constant churning that the ice cream maker does.

Just for a comparison, here is a link to a granita recipe with the method of placing in the freezer and then stirring periodically.
