Does the Cream Cheese pound cake with Bisquik use softened or melted butter?

Hi,


The Cream Cheese Pound Cakes calls for beating in the butter along with the other ingredients. It would be best to use softened butter. Melted butter would not give you any volume and would make a denser cake. I have attached the recipe, to make sure we are talking about the same one.
