Freezing cookies is easy and best to ensure the highest quality. Wrap cookies tightly and label and they'll be safe in your freezer for up to two months. Store delicate frosted or filled cookies in single layers in freezer containers. Cover with waxed paper. Undecorated and plain cookies can be frozen in layers; use waxed paper between layers. To thaw cookies: uncover and place at room temperature for about 1 to 2 hours. There's nothing like having a stash of homemade cookies in your freezer to pull out just when they're needed most!
